Growing up in the village of Marracuene, Maputo, I learned to navigate daily challenges with limited access to schools, school supplies, and resources. Education was often a distant dream for many of us, as we faced long walks to overcrowded classrooms with few materials to support our learning. Despite these hardships, the desire to learn and create a better future never faded. The experience taught me the resilience and determination that come from growing up in a place where opportunities are scarce, but the spirit of community and hope remains strong. It’s a reminder of how much we need to invest in education to give every child the chance to thrive.

At Tsakani Sorriso Para Criancas, our vision is to ensure that every child in the rural areas of Maputo has access to the essential tools for educational success. We are dedicated to providing backpacks and school supplies to underprivileged children, empowering them to pursue their studies with the resources they need to excel. By bridging the gap in educational access, we aim to create a brighter future for these children, fostering opportunities for growth and achievement, no matter their circumstances.
